I always thought that blue part in the front was its face, devoid of any visible eye or facial trait, with the long parts at its lower part being feelers or something like that.
Only now I looked at it again and realized that small like black dot next to the blue part is not simply a dot, it is actually its eye and the whole blue part is just the mouth! I am dumbfound realizing Barboach is actually supposed to be a cute looking pokémon rather than a weird faceless sea creature.
