Again...where was pikachu??

I want to start by saying that my bf and I really enjoyed this Kanto region event! We went walking and hunting for days and got to evolve some of my favorite Pokémon like Vileplum! My only complaint is that there were NO sights of pikachu in my region of the US. Pikachu is an OG kanto region Pokémon and he/she was nowhere to be found! I personally wasn’t a fan of the “event pikachu” this summer with the hat and sunglasses. I just want a high CP Raichu with no goddamn hat and sunglasses! Is this too much to ask, Niantic?!
