What if Pokémon holding a gym helped out during raids in that gym?

3 Star raids are usually left untouched in rural areas because there isn’t anyone around. If the Pokémon holding a gym were to help in raids, rather than just disappear, it’d give the little nudge solo raiders desperately need. Also it could be an incentive to fight over gyms with eggs, because players could receive candy or something, or even a team bonus when their Pokémon helps defeat a raid boss. As always, the Pokémon wouldn’t be able to be knocked out of the gym until the raid timer runs out, but it would be nice to have the two main features of gyms have more to do with each other.
