Hopes/Wishes for Pokemon Generation 8

I haven't seen one of these, so I thought it might be a fun little discussion on what people want to see in the expected Generation 8 Pokemon games. I'll get the ball rolling, would like to see what others want and feedback. This will be a big post.

Multiple difficulties (Last Seen: B2W2) - Challenge has always been something that pokemon fans have wanted, I would love multiple difficulties akin to B2W2.

-Easy - Lower levels, average AI, items on Elite Four and Champion only, handholding more noticeable.

-Normal - Average levels, good AI, items on trainer pokemon late game (gym 7 on), handholding is exp share is turned on (but can be turned off)

-Hard - Higher levels, better AI, Items on trainer pokemon starting partway through( gym 4 on), no forced handholding

Soaring (Last Seen: ORAS) - I don’t know about anyone else, but I loved being able to soar on Latios/Latias, it was a great way of traveling rather than just the usual “Fly” HM

New Mega Evolutions (Last Seen: ORAS) - I was sad that Mega Evolutions were dropped in Gen 7, and would like to see them return. I hope that if Mega evolutions return, it targets mildly popular yet underpowered pokemon (Donphan, Flygon, Milotic, Arcanine (think UU and lower in Smogon tiers?)

Ride Pokemon (Last Seen: USUM) - I personally dislike having to keep 1-2 HM slaves on my team since barring Surf and Waterfall, most HMs were mediocre.

Following Pokemon - at least a few (Last Seen: LGPE) - I understand that making sprites for following pokemon for all 800+ pokemon we have now is probably something they will not ever do, but I would enjoy a handful of pokemon being available - Eevee, Pikachu, Starters at least IMO.

Customization (Last Seen: USUM) - I think customization is great, and I would love to see a bit more options of customization - maybe more hair colors that aren’t standard.

New Pokemon - I’d love to see a [competitive, quadruped] cat pokemon since we’ve had very few of them (and I love felines), new Eeveelution (Dragon type to finish off the formerly special types getting evolutions), maybe a more competitive Pikachu-clone type pokemon. Starters that evolve to have counter effectiveness akin (Fire/Psychic, Water/Fighting, Grass/Dark type of thing). Maybe some evolutions to old pokemon with poor-mediocre stat spreads (Zangoose, Crawdaunt, Golduck, etc)

New Items - Hidden Ability Capsule, maybe a return of the [type] gems
